Project for a Korean Clinic in Almaty Presented to the President of Kazakhstan: Andrey Shin and Dr. Kim Boo-seop Bring Advanced Healthcare to Kazakhstan

During the state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to the Republic of Korea, a joint project to establish a high-tech multidisciplinary medical center in Almaty was presented in Seoul.

The project was presented to the Head of State by Andrey Shin, President of the Shin-Line Group of Companies, and Dr. Kim Boo-seop, Founder and CEO of Hyundae Hospital.

As part of the visit, the Shin-Line Group of Companies and Chung-Ang University Healthcare System Hyundae Hospital signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The project is being implemented through the joint operating company SLG-HYUNDAE MEDICAL.

The new medical center in Almaty will feature advanced Korean medical technologies and modern approaches to healthcare management. The project includes the deployment of high-tech diagnostic and treatment equipment, the adoption of Korean quality and safety standards, as well as systematic training and internships for Kazakhstani specialists at Hyundae Hospital.

"If we are going to do healthcare, it must be done at the highest level. Korea has one of the best healthcare systems in the world, and our goal is to bring these technologies and standards home to Almaty. For us, this is not just another project. The main goal is to build a clinic that truly helps people and provides high-quality care," noted company President Andrey Shin.

This partnership is a continuation of many years of collaboration between Dr. Kim Boo-seop and Kazakhstan. For nine years, South Korean specialists led by Dr. Kim Boo-seop have regularly conducted medical missions in Kazakhstan, providing free consultations to patients and performing complex surgical procedures.

On September 15, 2026, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev awarded Dr. Kim Boo-seop the Order of "Dostyk" (Friendship) II degree for his significant contribution to the development of humanitarian and medical cooperation between Kazakhstan and South Korea.

The establishment of the SLG-HYUNDAE MEDICAL center is designed to transition this long-standing humanitarian cooperation into a systemic framework, creating new opportunities for high-tech medical care in Kazakhstan. The project will also represent a new direction in Kazakh-Korean relations, promoting medical tourism and the exchange of professional expertise across Central Asia.
