Farmers’ School 3.0 — USDA Forum Almaty
On 20–21 August in Almaty, the International Forum USDA Forum Almaty was held, organized by GENEX with the support of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), CRI Kazakhstan, DairyNews.today, and the company “Shin-Line,” which provided the venue for the event.
On the first day, experts from the United States and Kazakhstan discussed key trends in the dairy industry. United States expert Tobbi Peng presented new genetic developments; United States expert Scott Carson shared strategies for reproduction and digital farm management; United States expert Mark Clark spoke about breeding approaches; and farmer and United States expert Glenn Klein presented practices for efficient dairy production. Mikhail Mishchenko, publisher of DairyNews.today, provided an overview of the current situation in the dairy market of Kazakhstan.
On 21 August, the program continued with an excursion to the “Shin-Line” plant, where participants learned about the production processes and the history of the company. The forum became a platform for sharing experience and discussing the prospects for developing the dairy industry, bringing together specialists, farmers, and representatives of government bodies.
