On September 16, 2026, the international scientific and practical seminar VetSchool Kazakhstan, dedicated to dairy herd health management, was held at Shin-Line’s production facility in Almaty.
The business program was opened by Dmitry Dokin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shin-Line. Participants discussed modern approaches to disease prevention, biosecurity, vaccination, early diagnosis and reducing economic losses in dairy farming.
One of the key topics was the epidemiological situation in Kazakhstan and measures to prevent infectious diseases among farm animals. Representatives of the Committee for Veterinary Control and Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan provided an overview of current risks and the specific aspects of veterinary control in the Almaty Region.
International experts presented up-to-date information on the spread of foot-and-mouth disease in different regions of the world, circulating virus types and the importance of timely vaccination. Particular attention was paid to the risks of cross-border transmission of infectious diseases, animal movement control and strengthening biosecurity on dairy farms.
The practical part of the seminar focused on young animal health. Experts examined the impact of calf diseases on the future productivity of the herd, as well as effective approaches to colostrum feeding, sanitary protocols, early disease detection, vaccination and animal housing conditions.
Participants also discussed the early diagnosis of brucellosis, leukemia and mastitis, prevention of reproductive disorders, quarantine procedures when purchasing cattle, laboratory diagnostics and veterinary data management.
“Animal health is directly linked to the efficiency and sustainability of dairy production. It is important for us to bring together practitioners, government representatives and international experts on one platform where they can openly exchange experience and discuss modern solutions,” said Dmitry Dokin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shin-Line.
The seminar concluded with a guided tour of Shin-Line’s production facility, where participants had the opportunity to learn more about the company’s production processes and modern technological solutions.
Hosting VetSchool Kazakhstan at Shin-Line provided a platform for professional dialogue and the exchange of practical experience in veterinary medicine and dairy farming.
